Samu-El Fowler

Director of Operations & Community Initiatives

Samu-El Fowler is the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Coordinator with Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities. He has over 10 years’ experience of helping organizations become more inclusive and equitable through his DEI efforts. Specializing in events, programming and mentorship, Samu-El uses that experience to coordinate specialized programs that fosters a sense of belonging, cultural competence and connectedness among individuals. As the DEI coordinator Samu-El provides leadership in systemic equity and instructional practice. The main function of Samu-El’s role with BYOD is to help foster a culture of community, diversity and inclusion, and support students, and staff to address issues and opportunities of equity that impact student learning. Samu-El through his initiatives focuses on events, programs, workshops, and the overall operations of BYOD.

Samu-El is a 2014 graduate of MSJ with a BS in Sport Management and also a 2021 graduate of Xavier University with a M.Ed. in Coaching Education and Athlete Development. He enjoys mentoring others and developing those around him to strive for greatness.  Samu-El is an active member in the community serving in different leadership roles within his Fraternities.

When Samu-El is not at work, he is enjoying working out and loves spending time with his Wife Chanel and children ZyAire (12), ZaRiah (8) and Samu-El Jr. (5)
